ACNEBENZ CL contains clindamycin to treat acne. In vivo hydrolysis, clindamycin phosphate will be converted rapidly into active clindamycin which has an anti-bacterial effect. Clindamycin is active in vitro against Propionibacterium acnes.
ACNEBENZ CL also contains benzoyl peroxide which has an antibacterial effect on acne, has keratolic properties and exfoliates the skin.
